At Lygon Dental, we highly recommend the following two replacement options for they are the healthiest of options from all solutions available.

Option 1 – Implant-supported bridge

Option 2 – Implant-supported dentures

The option that we go ahead with will depend on your oral health as well as the number of teeth you have lost.

Implant-supported Bridge

When you visit Lygon Dental for a check-up, one of our dental experts will examine your oral health to identify if dental implants are suitable for you. You must have good general and oral health. You must also have reasonable jawbone density for the implants to fuse successfully with your jaw.dental crown

So what’s involved in a dental implant?

A biocompatible titanium screw is surgically installed at the root of the site of the missing tooth. The gum will then be sewn closed even as your jawbone fuses with the implant. This process could take as much as three months. It all depends on factors like your ability to heal, the location of the implant – lower or upper jaw and your oral health.

When your jawbone heals successfully around your new implant, we will place the abutment. This could take around up to 2 weeks to heal during which time we will send an impression to fabricate your implant crown.

Implant-supported Dentures

This is another wonderful option when you want to replace missing tooth. At Lygon Dental, we offer three kinds of implant-supported dentures:

  • Removable dentures
  • Fixed dentures
  • Implant-stabilised dentures

When you have lost pretty much all or most of your teeth, implant-supported dentures support your jaw allowing you to speak and eat comfortably. Implant-supported dentures are better than traditional dentures as they help in maintaining healthy jaw bone density.

When you visit Lygon Dental for an initial consultation, we will examine your oral health to determine the treatment that’s best suited for you.
